JR’S Motorcycles & Suspension Specialists is a locally owned family business and has been servicing the Townsville area for more than 15 years.
JR (John Reid) started the business in 2002 and has had a fun and successful career in Speedway and Dirt Track. It’s from working on his own race bikes that he got the bug to become a qualified motorcycle mechanic. After a few years of industry experience, he started off a small mobile motorcycle workshop, which has helped grow the business into what it is today.
You may know us as specialising in dirt bikes, but we also work on adventure bikes, road bikes, cruisers, ATV’s, trikes and scooters.
In our shop everyone loves riding or racing, and we’re happy to give our customers advice on bikes or riding. We pride ourselves in ensuring new and existing customers needs are catered to.
JR’S supports motorcycle riders through our Husqvarna® race team and by sponsoring and attending motorcycle events, where we set up a shop display and mobile workshop–including a tyre machine. Often JR can be seen fixing bikes at race meetings so customers can ride the next round.
In 2017 we committed to helping out at CQMX, King of the Goldfields, RRAT, Speedway, TNQ’S, Townsville Enduro Club, VMX and QLD MX Champs Round 1.
